Melissa McGlensey

Rising stars of alt-comedy, Vidya & Mel are excited to bring you GREG – their debut show as a comedy duo made with love (and a little horror) for people named Greg.

Melb Intl Comedy Festival 2025

Both Greg and non-Greg audience members can expect an hour of high-octane absurdity, sketch and clown as Mel & Vidya attempt to answer the eternal question: can two women crawl out of their hole and achieve the world’s greatest dream – an hour of reasonably priced alternative comedy??

You be the Greg of that.

Vidya & Mel are multi-award winning performers and writers with a deep love of everything silly and strange.

Recently, Vidya was part of the core ensemble of Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe and won an AWGIE for her comedy writing for SBS, while Mel’s solo clown show  ‘MOTORBOAT’  won the Best Comedy Award at Adelaide Fringe 2024, A Hollywood Fringe Tour award, a Golden Gibbo nomination at Melbourne international comedy festival and a weekly award for best comedy at Perth Fringe 2025.

Directed by Sharnema Nougar.

What reviewers have said about Greg:

“Delightfully silly and brave and weird… an impressive performance.” - The Age

“There’s something inherently clever underneath this hour of unhinged alt-comedy… Bizarre, eye-opening, jaw-dropping, subversive, next-level, ridiculous comedy styling.” - Theatre First

Including the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival

and Latitude Music Festival 2023.

The full press kit and media release can be found here. Get in touch for more information, reviewer comps, interviews and more!

Born out of her obsession with global politics and her love for biting satire, The Briefing is a genre-defying piece of character comedy. Join Melissa for an event that is part comedic press briefing, part character stand-up, and part improvised Q&A session.

Don’t forget to bring your questions!

“7:80“ is a satirical sketch Melissa made with Lance Turnbull as part of a commission from Melbourne Fringe Festival 2020 for their “Fringe Roulette“ digital comedy event. In it, Melissa uses her Sarah Huckabee character to reference a recent interview with Australian journalist Leigh Sales.
